Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Direction
Provide guidance, leadership and training to inspection team.
At the Operational and Company Level
Communicate with clients, contractors and staff on various construction projects.
Oversee projects to ensure that the work is executed on time and on budget and in accordance with the client’s requirements and within company policies and procedures.
Do the Work
Coordinate with stakeholders.
Read and interpret complex contract documents.
Provide work assignments and review performance to ensure the efficient, cost-effective utilization of staff.
Facilitate and chair pre-construction and construction progress meetings.
Manage activities such as layout, inspection, documentation, and pay estimates.
Resolve design/field issues.
Review monthly contractor pay estimates and recommend approval.
Proactively monitor traffic control and protection.
Coordinate and monitor materials testing.

Drive the profitability and growth of projects.
Be self-reliant and able to operate independently with limited direction.
Understand and accurately interpret financial reports and metrics.
Outstanding client management skills.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering.
Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Illinois.
Excellent written and oral communications.
Excellent organizational and change management skills.
Ability to lead teams in a collaborative environment.
IDOT documentation certification required.
IDOT HMA, PCC and Field Density and Inspection Certifications preferred.
