Who you’ll be working with Codal seeks a results-driven, flexible, and strategic IT Operations Analyst to play a critical infrastructure support role by guiding and contributing to the ongoing support of systems at Codal.
Codal seeks an IT Operations Analyst to join our rapidly growing digital agency.
The IT Operations Analyst will need a strong understanding of infrastructure architecture and networking/engineering.
This position is an individual contributor role; however, they will be working with management on a daily basis on infrastructure technical projects and will need excellent communication skills.
With plans to develop into a team.
What you’ll be doing: Collaborate with engineering staff to create, monitor, and troubleshoot system infrastructure.
Analyze existing systems to ensure security and efficacy.
Proactively monitor systems for availability, capacity, and performance.
Responsible for designing and implementing network systems to meet the business needs of the organization.
Advise on system monitoring and maintenance, including configuration and security management, patching, automation, hardening, and system upgrades.
Ensure the integrity and security of data on computers, databases, and during data transfer in accordance with business needs and industry best practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.
Work collaboratively with Codal operational teams by providing input into the change management functions for presentation to the Change Advisory Board and providing input into team communication (including meetings) and joint planning sessions on hardware and software roll-out.
Collaborate with Codal operational teams to identify risks, perform risk assessments, implement risk mitigation strategies, and continuously monitor and review the effectiveness of those strategies.
Participate in IT enhancement initiatives and projects by undertaking research, investigations, evaluations, and testing new or enhanced technologies to enhance infrastructure.
Actively participate in discussions regarding reliability in production infrastructure environments, and assist with planning and setting priorities to ensure proper usage.
Assist project management and technical teams in developing recommendations, standards, procedures, documentation, and implementation strategies for infrastructure.
Provide technical support in diagnostics, troubleshooting, and analyzing issues associated with information systems, connectivity, security, and backup.
What it takes to excel: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information systems, information technology, or a related field.
4+ years of computer systems setup, network administration, and server monitoring.
Proficient with infrastructure architecture and systems management tools and platforms such as JumpCloud, Google Workspace administration, Jira/ Confluence, Slack, 24x7, Opsgenie.
Experience in global corporate environments.
Experience effectively facilitating and driving organizational change.
Experience managing and configuring site reliability.
Experience with communication platforms such as Gmail and Slack Experience with MacOS, Windows, and Linux.
Experience with Jira, Github, Confluence, and SSO.
Minimum 3 days in the Chicago office.
