Department Overview The Motorola Solutions Command Central Video Services team is responsible for the architecture, design, and development of cloud-based Video Management Solutions servicing Public Safety and Enterprise Customers.
Motorola Solutions designs, develops, and manufactures advanced AI, video analytics, network video management software and hardware, surveillance cameras, and access control solutions that help change the way people interact with their security systems.
We are seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer who will be a part of a highly collaborative team working on mobile and fixed video solutions.
Our products allow customers to respond effectively in mission-critical operating environments.

Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Staff Engineer to join our team.
In this role, you will be responsible for building, implementing, deploying, and supporting scalable IoT solutions using cloud-based technologies.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate with on-premises applications and platforms, automate scaling solutions, and maximize solution resilience and reliability.
As a Senior Staff Engineer, you will play a key role in driving innovation and ensuring the success of our IoT initiatives.
Responsibilities: Build, implement, deploy, and support scalable IoT solutions using cloud-based technologies.
Integrate IoT solutions with on-premises applications and platforms.
Provide automation solutions for scaling IoT deployments.
Maximize solution resilience and reliability while continuously improving uptime.
Participate in group discussions by expressing thoughts and ideas clearly.
Demonstrate a self-driven, high-energy, and highly innovative approach with a positive attitude.
Collaborate effectively with technical leaders in a multi-team environment.
Exhibit flexibility and resilience in the face of changing priorities and requirements.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Minimum of 7 years of Software Development experience in one or more general-purpose programming languages, with expertise in Java.
Experience with IoT protocols such as MQTT, AMQP, HTTP, and Websockets, as well as IoT cloud platforms.
Proficiency in IoT Edge integration with IoT hubs.
Ability to troubleshoot and debug issues, and work effectively with remote teams.
Experience supporting and triaging issues with customer integration teams under minimal supervision.
Familiarity with Azure or other cloud platforms.
Strong troubleshooting methodology and the ability to work under fast-paced timelines.
Knowledge of CI/CD Pipelines.
Familiarity with Docker Containers.
Proficiency in spoken and written English.
