com What you'll be doing As a member of the infrastructure operations team, you’ll work in a fast-paced environment where you will provide technical guidance, follow standards and best practices during design, build, configuration, implementation, and maintenance with Linux servers, and frequently involve user support tasks.
Expertise with the Linux operating system, Azure, and server administration to develop and deploy servers, support day-to-day system performance, resolve technology-related incidents, and prevent data loss and unauthorized access is required.
This role encompasses back-end IT support for business-critical and development-related departments and personnel.
Administer and support core Linux (RHEL,SUSE), and VMware technologies.
Tackle the life cycle of a server and build and deploy new solutions.
Performance monitoring and managing the system capacity.
Develop and deploy proactive solutions and setup alerts to ensure system usability across the organization.
Fix and analyze technical incidents, solve technical ad hoc problems.
Install and Configure Windows Servers and Linux Server.
Develop servers and provide support to individual users to ensure that the system works reliably and quickly.
Manage server virtualization technologies like VMWare Server/ESX.
Knowledge in Azure monitoring , service principal in Azure, NSG rule, Azure Key vault.
Works closely with other Systems administrators, project managers, IT departments and vendors to answer technical questions or resolve issues with server performance and access.
Perform System Maintenance activities like review backups, error logs and user-reported errors and identify stable and reliable solutions.
Maintain system security by noticing faults and vulnerabilities within the server’s architecture.
Provides troubleshooting and support, including on-call rotation, after-hours support.
Other duties as assigned.
How you'll succeed Troubleshooting and Technical Skills - Work closely with key business and technology partners to ensure that business and client impact issues are well understood and addressed.
Ensure all infrastructure management aspects maintain adherence to all regulatory and information security standards and policies.
Critical Thinker – Create better ways of solving technical problems and not be afraid of challenging the status quo.
Relationship Management - Build strong relationships and partnerships with technical team members, clients, vendors, and peers.
Lead discussions, listen, and ask the right questions to ensure problems/issues are identified and resolved.
Who you are 5+ years of experience in Linux/RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) system administration.
2-3 years Azure experience, Azure Certification is preferred, Azure DevOps knowledge is a plus.
Knowledge of virtualization technologies like VMWare Server/ESX.
Knowledge in SAS VIYA Platform is a great plus.
Experience with Windows servers , Active Directory/LDAP project managers.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Flexible and able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment and can manage projects of varying length Responsible, highly reliable, organized; able to work individually and collaboratively with peers.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to apply these skills to identify and resolve anomalies in system functionality and performance.
