*POSITION SUMMARY:* As a *Senior Network Engineer* you will play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing the global network infrastructure for Duravant and its operating companies.
This leadership position requires expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining network solutions, ensuring industry-standard practices are established and followed across the organization.
*ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:* * Design, implement, and maintain a resilient and scalable global network infrastructure to support the growth and future needs of Duravant and its Operating Companies * Integrate On-Premise global network infrastructure with green-field Azure environment * Managed the network to support a virtualized server environment both on-premise and in cloud such as Azure.
* Support VoIP telephony from the networking side or hands-on system management.
* Work closely with local IT staff and business leaders to assess network needs and implement optimal wireless coverage solutions.
* Develop and implement standardized network practices, policies, and procedures to ensure consistent performance and security across all locations.
* Proactively monitor network heath and institute alerts to reduce downtime and business impact.
* Create an IP address layout and leverage IPAM for effective use of the address space * Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to integrate security best practices into network operations.
* Ensure network resiliency through meticulous design and adherence to best practices.
* Create and maintain clear and accurate network documentation and diagrams for internal knowledge sharing.
* Act as the primary escalation point for network support issues and troubleshoot complex network problems.
* Partner with leadership and peers to champion adherence to established network standards and best practices.
* Investigate and propose cost-saving opportunities through innovative network management practices, contract consolidation, or vendor selection.
* Manages local LAN equipment consisting of multiple vendors, Meraki, Ubiquiti, Cisco Catalyst, HP ProCurve, Sonicwall, Fortinet and others.
* Provide technical guidance and mentorship to network support staff and junior engineers.
*POSITION REQUIREMENTS: * * Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
* 7-10 years of experience managing complex enterprise networks in a multi-location environment.
* Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies (Catalyst, ASA, Meraki).
* Strong understanding of network routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP).
* Proficiency in network design and security principles and methodologies.
* Prior experience working with Cloud networks (preferably Azure) and integrating into On-Premise environments.
* Proficiency in network documentation tools and methodologies.
* Familiar with the configuration and management of SDWan mainly based around the Meraki platform.
* Knowledge of emerging WAN technology such as SASE * Domestic and international travel ≤10% *NICE TO HAVE:* * Industry certifications like CCNP Enterprise, JNCIA-Cloud, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate.
* Familiarity with Software Defined Networking (SDN) and cloud-based infrastructure.
* Understanding of the SASE framework for secure access service edge.
