The Electronics Technician performs entry level of troubleshooting and repair of production units.
Under general supervision, records and performs testing of production components, control systems and cabinets to Woodward specifications.
This position reports to the Operations Supervisor.

What you will be doing…
Tests production modules and/or systems following written procedures at basic level
Troubleshoots failing units down to the component level under close supervision
Creates documentation as required by written procedures
Collaborates with Engineering to develop and improve Woodward testing capabilities
Follows Test Specification Procedures (TSP) as required
May conduct on the job training of others
Supports continuous improvement activities
Rework printed circuit boards using common soldering tools per applicable standards at basic level
What we are looking for…
Associate of Applied Science degree in Electronics or Associates of Applied Science degree with electronics coursework (or equivalent experience) required
Ability to read and understand many different types of documentation (i.
e.
, schematics, build books, bills of materials)
Ability to perform module replacements, wiring and cabling according to wiring diagrams, schematics and engineering drawings
Basic ability to remove and replace Through-hole Technology (THT) and basic Surface-Mount Technology (SMT) devices using modern soldering techniques
