Salary Range:
FUCHS offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience in a similar position.
The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $100,000 per year, but actual salary will vary depending upon a new hire’s experience and qualifications as well as internal equity.
Your areas of responsibility:
The Continuous Improvement Engineer will support our North American locations by defining, imple-menting, and optimizing manufacturing processes.
This includes reviewing manufacturing practices through reporting and visual data and lean efficiency recommendations, equipment modifications and/or equipment replacement to support growth and efficiency efforts.
Specific responsibilities include:
Recommend and implement improvements to production processes, methods, and controls.
Coordinate manufacturing launch for new or revised products.
Plan, design, implement, and manage integrated production systems that assure perfor-mance, reliability, maintainability, schedule adherence, and cost control.
These systems will integrate people, information, equipment, processes, and energy throughout the life cycle of the product.
Establish new manufacturing systems and modern manufacturing practices, such as, but not limited to: Kanban inventory, 5S, lean, and time analysis, Six Sigma problem solving and resolution techniques, and statistical process control.
Establish methods, equipment, and layout of all direct and indirect jobs utilizing time-study.
Assignment of special projects in cost reduction, statistical process control, automation, facility layout among others.
Apply statistical methods and perform product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency.
Evaluate and validate internal SOP’s, Recipes and Specifications and other documents related to the adequate process functioning.
Travel Expectations – 20-30% of the time.
Qualifications we are looking for:
Education: Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Mathematics, Science or Related Manufacturing Field required.
2+ years working experience in a manufacturing facility or related industry.
Must be able to implement and mentor others in Lean Manufacturing, SPC and Continuous Improvement Techniques.
Green Belt training is preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office required.
Experience with SAP preferred.
