We are an electrical contractor located in Griffith, Indiana.
Our growing company is excited to announce a new opening for an Electrical Controls Engineer / System Integrator.
Below are the duties required for this position.
Responsibilities & functions include the following:
* Develop and maintain drive, controls and SCADA system best practices through collaboration with other process technology teams.
* Perform a variety of functions such as installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment for generating, distributing, and utilizing electrical energy.
Use instruments to test circuits and replace or install new power, light, electronic and control circuits.
* Knowledge of schematics, drawings, layouts, or other specifications to locate and diagnose trouble in the electrical system or equipment.
* Create and update electrical schematics and drawings.
* Conduct training of customer employees for proper adjustments and operations
* Plan, direct and coordinate projects to ensure on time completion within budget.
Qualifications
· 3+ years of experience in controls or electrical engineering in the water and waste water industry
* Knowledgeable with National Electric Code
* Experience in automation, drive and control systems
* Instrumentation including flow meters, level transducers, chlorinators, analyzers and pumps.
* PLCs knowledge of all version of Allen Bradley software
* Experience with VFDs
* Ability to develop PLC programs in function block and structural text
* Drive experience with AB Powerflex and ABB
* Knowledge of HMI software; Factory Talk Studio, RSView 32, AVEVA Wonderware, Rockwell Automation, and Intellution
* Knowledge of Data collection systems including AVEVA (Wonderware) Historian and Intellution
* Ability to be self-directed and a self-starter
* Ability to execute multiple projects with minimal supervision
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills among all levels of the organization
* Hands-on ability to work through symptoms and get to root problem
* Experience in troubleshooting equipment and process issues
* Proficiency in AutoCAD electrical

Compensation/Benefits:
The total union package with benefits is $150,000 annually
