4Front Ventures is looking for an experienced, highly motivated Buyer-Procurement Planner who will work with leaders in the organization to understand the needs of the productions.
This person will be managing inventory levels and purchase orders to ensure that there is sufficient stock to meet production needs.
The Buy-Procurement Planner will work closely with the supply chain team to forecast production demand and develop procurement strategies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Evaluate the 13-week production plan for all NCI SKUs and update it on a weekly basis with Production Manager.
Prepare and discuss with Supply Chain the level of packaging inventory - Weekly.
Prepare, discuss, and issue purchase request to Supply Chain – Weekly.
Receive copy of approved PO (approval from Production Manager needed) with estimated payment plan and ship dates from Supply Chain.
Monitor status of PO’s and resolve issues and concerns.
Notify Receiver about new orders, update Open PO’s List.
Upon receipt of product Inspect and evaluate the quality of purchased items and resolve shortcomings.
Perform monthly audit for inventory of NCI supplies.
Collect weekly requests from department for purchasing supplies and consumables.
Issue POs by department, submit PO to the vendor upon approval from Head of the departments.
Notify Receiver about new order, update Open PO’s list.
Review inventory of supplies and consumables weekly.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES Proven work experience as a Procurement Specialist/ Buyer or similar role Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills Strong analytical thinking and critical thinking skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and with business application software, purchasing and resource planning systems A bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management or a similar field preferred Enjoys analysis/statistics, an Analytical Person.
Clear and logical thinker Ability to handle pressure well and calmly lead others through complex issues across physical and systemic platforms Meticulous and highly organized individual Ability to clearly communicate requirements and measure results Must have Player-Coach capability while maintaining a high degree of ownership in the team Flexibility to adapt quickly to changing circumstances Relish working in a company with a diverse, challenging, and fast paced environment QUALIFICATIONS 21+ and currently residing in the USA Bachelor’s degree in business administration or supply chain management 3+ years purchasing and materials planning experience Experience with ERP systems Excel expert Cannabis industry experience (preferred) WORKING CONDITIONS Fast-paced, rapid-changing, production/warehouse-like environment Handling cannabis products and packaged goods Manufacturing facility with industrially lit rooms featuring heavy machinery producing loud sounds at times.
Plant pollen and extraction fumes may be present on surfaces and in the air.
Protective suits may be required (provided on site) Kneeling, squatting, lifting (up to 50 lbs.
), bending, twisting, walking, pivoting, and long-term standing (all expected activities) *NOTE: The facility contains confined spaces that may only be accessible by ascending/descending stairwells while traveling throughout the building.
