Manufacturing Account Coordinator / Order Administrator In Training (Onsite)

Babbitting Service Inc, (BSI) is looking to fill a position for a Manufacturing Account Coordinator / Order Administrator In Training onsite able to use measuring instruments, have machine shop knowledge, blueprint reading skills, metal materials knowledge to work onsite at our South Elgin location.
To be consider for the position BSI prefers candidates to have an engineering, technology or manufacturing degree or experience.
BSI will supply all the training necessary to fulfill all the obligations of this role.
This title including “In Training” will be for 1 year and upon completion of the year and demonstrating the ability to perform all the functions of the role this candidate would become an “Order Administrator”.
The training you would receive from BSI would teach the skills to perform the following tasks utilizing BSI procedures: Order Entry & Processing Track and maintain orders throughout the manufacturing or repair process and provide feedback to customers Estimating and Quotations Prepare quotations for customers and answer questions Manufacturing Process Planning Route new parts using software tracking system and review existing parts Quality Documentation Preparation Customer Service and Relationship Management Communicate with customers on all orders, quotes and other order related situations on behalf of BSI.
The ideal candidate for this position is interested in parts manufacturing from a “machine shop” perspective with “job shop” small quantities and “one off” type work.
This job requires the person to interact on the production floor with Shop Managers and machinists to gain insight into machine cycle times, capabilities, and limits.
