*SUMMARY*
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for directing all repair and maintenance work activities in the fully HVAC-controlled machine shop.
This role includes supervising the safe and efficient maintenance of equipment including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic related equipment, overseeing mechanic workload to ensure timely equipment and tool repair, and coordinating a preventive maintenance program to minimize equipment downtime while staying within shop budget.
The ideal person will be able to roll up their sleeves and work on equipment alongside their team.
*JOB RESPONSIBILITIES*
* Supervises shop maintenance mechanics including selection, development/training, assigning, and monitoring work, and performance
* Able to quickly diagnose machine malfunctions to perform repair work
* Supervises all shop maintenance and work force management functions
* Creates, assigns, and reviews PM and repair work performed by mechanics
* Oversees the coordination of building space allocation and layout
* Inspects completed work for conformance to specifications and standards
* Maintain building, including heating, air, fire protection system, and security
* Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations (OSHA and company safety program)
* Establish or revise work procedures
* Recommend changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency
* Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving work problems
* Maintain time and production records
* Coordinate repair and preventive maintenance work with production supervisors
* Be an active member of cooperative safety program
* Manage spare parts inventory
* Ensures facility is within ISO compliance
* Ensure compliance of outside contractor policies and procedures.

Requirements:*QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:*
*REQUIRED*
* High School diploma or equivalent
* 5 years experience repair and maintenance of precision CNC machines including mills and lathes
* Previous management/supervisory experience
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and preventive maintenance software
* Clean DMV record to occasionally drive on company business
* Strong implementation, analytical, and facilitation skills
* Strong safety advocate
* PLC, hydraulic, pneumatic, and welding knowledge
* Able to multi-task and work in fast-paced environment with changing priorities
*DESIRED*
* Experience with DMG, Okuma, Matsurra, Hass and Yamaseki brand machines
* Experience with machine automation including pallet system and robotic machine tending
* Someone who proactively addresses concerns and potential issues prior to them negatively impacting business
