For sale, a great Gibson LG-2 3/4 acoustic guitar.
Looks and plays great.
The bridge has been professionally re-glued and the tuners have been replaced without any modifications to the guitar.
The original tuners are included in the sale.
The sale includes a new Gator Case.
Produced in smaller quantities than its full-size LG brethren, the LG-2 3/4 measures 12 3/4" across the lower bout width with a 22 3/4" scale length.
Tone woods include a ladder-braced spruce top, Honduran mahogany back and sides, one-piece mahogany neck, and Brazilian rosewood fret board and bridge.
This LG has a clear, singing tone with excellent projection and sweetness, offering a boxy bark indicative of its ladder-braced design.
Treble strings have a sparkling snap, and the wound strings deliver a rich percussive cut and low-mid range warmth.
The instrument is featherweight and professionally setup.
The one-piece mahogany neck has a round U-shaped neck profile carve with full shoulders and lightly rolled fret board edges.
The Brazilian rosewood fret board retains the original slender banjo frets which show very light wear.
The nut measures 1 9/16" in width, and the head stock is fitted with a set of modern Kluson Deluxe single line strip tuners that turn smoothly and hold pitch.
Original tuners are included in this sale.
Visible through the sound hole, the factory order number is very bold, stamped on the neck heel.
The original Brazilian rosewood bridge sits flush on the top, professionally re-glued.
The dark red tortoise pick guard also sits flat with the spruce, and there is visible strum wear near the sound hole, with some additional superficial dings and scuffs on top.
The Sunburst gloss nitro lacquer finish is 100% original with no touch up or over spray, and wear is limited to some small nicks and light finish scratches on the back and sides.
No splits or cracks visible.
The gloss finish on the neck profile is clean and free of palm wear.
Comes with a modern hard shell Gator Case
