A very prestigious and successful global law firm is seeking a Healthcare Associate to join their nationally recognized Healthcare practice in Chicago, IL.
*Experience:*
* Candidates will have at least 3 years of regulatory experience.
* Substantive experience in healthcare regulatory compliance matters, including a variety of healthcare regulatory issues with a particular focus on healthcare provider and health plan issues.
* Specifically seeking candidates with experience and an interest in continuing or building a practice around the Stark Law and Anti-Kickback Statute, Medicare policy, corporate practice doctrines, and similar laws and regulations.
* Background with the False Claims Act, Stark Law, licensing inquiries, medical staff, hospital issues, and payor reimbursement is preferred.
* Prior employment in a sophisticated law firm environment and healthcare in particular is preferred.
*Responsibilities may include:*
* Representing, analysing, counselling, and structuring arrangements between and among referral sources for compliance with fraud and abuse laws.
* Advising and implementing compliance program infrastructures, like policies and procedures, to the board of directors and compliance personnel.
* Draft and negotiate a wide variety of agreements between manufacturers, healthcare, life science providers, etc.
* Conducting regulatory due diligence reviews to identify and assess risks.
