About the role: We are seeking to hire a transactional-focused attorney with strong experience in complex employment contracting or M&A to join its Legal team as Counsel.
You will report to the Assistant General Counsel, Strategic Transactions in CBRE’s Global Advisory business.
What you’ll do: Partner with executives and managers to structure, draft and lead negotiations on sophisticated employment agreements with commissioned employees.
Provide legal counsel and guidance to executives, managers, and human resources on employment issues associated with recruiting and retention.
Advise on structure and enforceability of restrictive covenants and protection of trade secrets and proprietary information.
Prepare and conduct training on issues relating to compensation, restrictive covenants, and other employment issues.
Monitor changes in law impacting employee compensation, restrictive covenants, and related employment issues.
Respond promptly to the business while delivering efficient and high-quality legal service.
Perform other job-related duties as may be assigned.

& member of applicable State Bar in good standing.
Minimum of 6 years of relevant private practice and/or in-house experience.
Strong experience drafting and negotiating complex agreements and compensation formulas.
Experience with executive agreements in the context of mergers and acquisitions and senior executive recruiting preferred.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize requests in a timely manner.
Strong social skills and executive presence.
Ability to work with and manage different leadership styles.
Excellent analytical, negotiation, communication, problem-solving, and drafting skills.
Strong financial foresight.
