Click for a complete list of Employee Benefits Description: Reporting to the Dean, the Business/Administrative Assistant (Executive Assistant to the Dean) works collaboratively with senior leaders, faculty, students, and alumni to support the Dean in carrying out Law School business, communications, and projects.
Duties & Responsibilities: Works with the Dean and other senior staff on law school program research, development, and implementation.
Independently reviews, edits, redacts, and collates documents.
Assists with projects and initiatives that advance the law school’s academic and administrative effectiveness, engaging the right resources and holding parties accountable for deadlines.
Creates time-management and interference-control systems to maximize the Dean’s ability to focus on the highest priority issues.
Provides administrative support and assists with special projects for the Vice Dean, Associate Deans, senior staff, and other personnel as needed.
Processes and reconciles P-card, TEM, and iBuy transactions and ensures transactions are in compliance with OBFS policy and procedures.
Actively remains apprised of relevant internal and external law school developments to effectively triage, respond to, or relay inquiries to the Office of the Dean from students, faculty, and staff.
Provides swift and accurate administrative support for the Dean’s Office.
Day-to-day administrative support of the Dean’s office includes scheduling and confirming appointments and meetings, tracking projects, tracking travel, completing reimbursement forms and tracking expenses, proofreading, and performing general clerical duties including photocopying, sorting mail, keeping mail logs, and maintaining files.
Supervises support staff and students by directing, assigning, reviewing and monitoring their daily work activities.
Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or a field related to the position.
Two (2) years of professional business, financial, and/or managerial work experience.
(NOTE: A Master’s Degree in an area consistent with the duties of the position may be substituted for one (1) year (12 months) of work experience.
