We are currently seeking a skilled and organized Personal Injury Paralegal to join our dynamic team.
*Position Overview:*As a Personal Injury Paralegal at The Memmen Law Firm, you will play a crucial role in supporting our attorneys and ensuring the smooth flow of personal injury cases.
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational skills and have a strong background in personal injury law or litigation.
*Responsibilities:* * Conduct preliminary case assessments and investigations.
* Assist in the preparation of legal documents, pleadings, and discovery requests.
* Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.
* Communicate with clients, medical providers, and opposing counsel as necessary.
* Coordinate and schedule depositions, hearings, and court appearances.
* Prepare trial binders and exhibits for court proceedings.
* Research legal issues and provide support to attorneys during trial preparation.
* Assist with settlement negotiations and drafting settlement agreements.
* Manage the firm's case management software and maintain electronic files.
* Perform administrative tasks as needed to support the legal team.
*Qualifications:* * Bachelor's degree or paralegal certification from an accredited program.
* 2+ years of experience as a personal injury paralegal.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.
* Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Detail-oriented and capable of managing complex case files.
* Knowledge of Illinois personal injury laws and procedures.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $50,000.
00 - $60,000.
