The Senior Legal Recruiting Specialist is responsible for supporting the firm’s partner recruiting processes and providing a positive and consistent experience for candidates and key stakeholders.
This position also supports key initiatives which enable the firm to attract a diverse group of qualified candidates.

*Location*: Boston, MA; Chicago, IL; Washington, DC; New York City, NY; Long Island, NY; Providence, RI; Rochester, NY *Responsibilities:* * Work with the legal recruiting team, Senior Director, Legal Recruiting and other firm leadership on department initiatives, recruiting and integration efforts.
* Consult with practice group leaders and sponsoring attorney(s) on hiring needs.
* Conduct an intake call with sponsoring attorney(s) to propose a candidate search strategy.
* Review resumes and conduct initial telephone interviews to determine which candidates are qualified.
* Schedule interviews, collect feedback, and manage travel arrangements when needed.
* Manage full cycle of the search, including approval(s), due diligence and background clearance process.
* Ensure the candidate is admitted and in good standing with the appropriate Bars.
This includes educating the sponsoring partner and candidate on the requirements.
* Draft job description and source candidates using a variety of methods.
* Create and maintain relationships with search firms to maximize firm/position marketing and negotiate agreement terms as needed.
* Ensure the recruiting database, candidate files, correspondence and records are maintained on a continuous basis.
* Manage offer approval process, working with firm leadership to determine offer terms, prepare offer materials and other related items.
Collect the necessary materials from a candidate, conduct reference checks, report on the results, and prepare offer letters.
* Manage competitive intelligence research projects.
* Collaborate with key stakeholders to support the firm’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) efforts as they pertain to recruitment; ensure that all candidate records meet the firm’s DE&I reporting requirements.
* Manage monthly budget reports and maintain cost control measures.
* Coordinate and perform due diligence on agency engagements for project needs.
* Manage agency engagement logistical needs internally and externally.
* Monitor performance of agency project attorneys.
* Train and supervise junior and new team members on processes and best practices.
* Stay abreast of changes in the industry and share competitive market intelligence on hiring data and potential opportunities that could contribute to the firm’s growth.
* Manage industry survey processes, including Vault, Chambers, National Association for Law Placement.
* Collaborate with other teams as appropriate to obtain non-recruiting data.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

* Bachelor’s Degree required.
Work experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and competing demands.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; prior experience with document management systems (i.

In accordance with applicable Federal and State laws, the anticipated annual salary range for this position, depending on location, are as follows.
* Boston, MA: $87,540 to $125,215 * Chicago, IL: $83,895 to $119,995 * Washington, DC: $87,540 to $125,215 * New York, NY: $91,200 to $130,430 * Long Island, NY: $91,200 to $130,430 * Providence, RI: $80,250 to $114,780 * Rochester, NY: $72,950 to $104,345 In addition to a standard benefits package, this role may be eligible for additional contingent compensation based on an array of factors, including but not limited to: work performance, geographic location, work experience, education, and qualifications.
Because such contingent compensation is not yet calculable or may be zero ($0) in some circumstances, the above-listed salary range(s) are Nixon Peabody’s good faith estimate of the annual salar(ies) it reasonably expects to pay for the position at the time of this posting.
