*Employment Attorney with Healthcare Experience*
We are seeking a skilled attorney with expertise in multi-state employment law and a focus on healthcare-related matters.
The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of employment regulations across multiple jurisdictions, particularly within the healthcare industry.
They should be adept at providing legal counsel on a wide range of employment-related issues, including but not limited to discrimination, wage and hour compliance, employee benefits, labor relations, and workplace safety.
The candidate should demonstrate strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality legal services.
*Responsibilities:*
* *Legal Compliance:* Stay abreast of evolving federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, and industry trends, ensuring company policies and practices remain compliant.
* *Employment Law Guidance:* Provide expert legal guidance and strategic advice to HR and management teams on a broad range of employment matters, including hiring, termination, discrimination, harassment, wage and hour, and employee benefits.
* *Policy Development:* Develop, review, and update employment policies, procedures, and handbooks to ensure legal compliance and alignment with company objectives.
* *Employee Relations:* Advise on employee relations matters, investigations, and dispute resolution, fostering a positive and respectful workplace culture.
* *Contract Review:* Review and negotiate various employment-related agreements, including employment contracts, non-compete agreements, severance agreements, and independent contractor agreements.
* *Litigation Management:* Collaborate with external legal counsel as necessary to manage employment-related litigation and disputes, including discrimination claims, wage and hour disputes, and regulatory investigations.
* *Risk Assessment:* Conduct risk assessments and provide proactive recommendations to mitigate legal risks associated with employment practices and policies.
* *Mergers and Acquisitions:* Support due diligence efforts and provide legal expertise on employment-related matters during mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
*Qualifications:*
* Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in at least one state.
* Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing employment law with a focus on the healthcare sector.
* Strong understanding of federal and state employment laws.
* Experience providing legal counsel to healthcare providers, hospitals, medical practices, or related organizations.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly and concisely.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
* Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
* Proven track record of delivering high-quality legal services and building strong client relationships.
* Membership in good standing with the state bar(s) where licensed to practice law.
