HaystackID is seeking an experienced and senior Paralegal for a legal assistant role in Chicago, IL.
This is a full-time, on-site position (there may be flexibility to work from home).

*Job Requirements*
* An Associate degree in Paralegal Studies, a Paralegal Certificate from an ABA accredited institution or be actively enrolled in a Paralegal Certificate program from an ABA accredited institution with an expected completion date within six (6) months of date of hire, or any combination of education and experience that equals two (2) years as a legal assistant or support specialist.
* At least 3 years of previous experience as a legal assistant or in a similar role.
*Responsibilities:*
_*Pleadings*_
* Drafting of pleadings;
* Exhibit preparation for same;
* Legal research;
* Citation checks;
* Document formatting;
* Proficient with State (mostly Cook) and federal clerk websites and Judge standing order information;
* Proficient with State/Federal in-person filing and e-filing procedures;
* PACER/ECF proficiency
_*Discovery*_
* Draft written party discovery documents and notices;
* Draft third-party discovery: subpoenas, notices, riders;
* Significant eDiscovery proficiency (hosted);
* Managed review experience;
* eDiscovery (non-hosted);
* Document review (hosted and non-hosted);
* Data collection proficiency;
_*Deposition Preparation*_
* Search for, organize and provide deposition exhibits to attorneys
_*Trial Preparation*_
* Initial disclosure preparation (Witness & Exhibit Lists);
* Trial subpoena preparation;
* Draft riders to subpoenas, as appropriate;
* Locate witnesses (skips, social media research etc.
);
* Tend to deposition transcript designations intended for use at trial;
* Search for, organize and provide trial exhibits to attorneys;
* Generation of trial exhibit binders;
* Generation of electronic file for use at trial;
* Assist with witness preparation;
* Trial attendance and assistance with evidence presentation and admitted exhibits;
* Real time data management and searches re: trial matters and identification of rebuttal exhibits;
* Proficiency using State and Federal A/V equipment for use at trial;
* Trial director software proficiency;
_*Miscellaneous*_
* Familiarity with ShareFile or FTP transfers; generation of links for data import and exports;
* Proficient with recording instruments via Simplifile and in person recordings statewide;
* Manage all litigation support vendor relationships;
* Invoice and PM time sheet review - AP submissions;
* Proficient use of docketing software

Pay: $40.
