Our growing consumer bankruptcy firm is looking for an Associate Attorney to join our team in Chicago.
We are dedicated to helping our clients improve their financial situation and get a fresh start.
No prior experience in bankruptcy law is necessary, as we take pride in training our attorneys in-house.
Responsibilities:
* Represent clients in consumer bankruptcy cases, including Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 filings
* Working with clients to assess their financial situation and eligibility for bankruptcy
* Prepare and file bankruptcy petitions and related documents
* Attend court hearings, including 341 meetings and confirmation hearings
* Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
* Stay up-to-date on changes in bankruptcy law and regulations
* Participate in ongoing training and professional development
Qualifications:
* J.
D.
degree from an accredited law school
* Licensed to practice law in Illinois, or eligible to become licensed
* Passionate about helping people and making a positive impact on their lives
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
* Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple cases and deadlines
* Eager to learn and grow within the practice of bankruptcy law
