Broken Rolex Submariner 18k two tone - $1,500 (Orland Park)

Not working currently.
Band is missing a link to connect.
Belonged to a family member her who passed away.
We are cleaning up his condo.
Looking for box and paperwork.
Took it to Rolex told me an overhaul would be 1200$ or 300-500$ to get it running and authenticated by service.
This watch with paperwork and box is $20,000+.
As is, If you overhaul it would give it a value of 13-18k.
Working condition 7500-11,000$.
We don’t have the money to invest or know how to make it work.
I want to get rid of it no box or paperwork , I’ll keep looking for it but would be 1500$ OBO.
If I find the box and paperwork it’s going to raise the price.
I don’t want to sink any money into this.
