Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced, skilled and detail-oriented a janitorial worker and floor technician to join our team.
PERSON MUST BE FLEXIBLE.
As a Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of various settings.
This is a vital role in ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for our clients and customers.
Duties:
-Routine vacuuming of common areas
-Cross train in carpet cleaning
-Cross train in emergency water restoration
-Help with new flooring opportunities
-Help with monthly floor maintenance
- Perform routine floor cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming
-Clean and sanitize buildings and offices
- Utilize specialized equipment to clean carpets, such as carpet extractors and steam cleaners
- Strip, seal, wax, and buff hard floors to maintain their shine and durability
- Conduct spot cleaning and stain removal as needed
- Follow established cleaning protocols and safety procedures
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow
- Adhere to all company policies and regulations regarding cleanliness and sanitation
Skills:
- Previous experience in environmental services or commercial cleaning preferred
- Knowledge of floor care techniques, including carpet cleaning, buffing, stripping, sealing, waxing, and polishing
- Familiarity with custodial procedures and best practices
- Ability to operate floor cleaning equipment effectively and safely
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects when necessary
- Excellent time management skills to complete tasks within designated timeframes
