*\*\*Job Summary:\*\** We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Brewery Taproom Staff.
As part of our dynamic brewery environment, you will play a key role in providing exceptional service to our customers while promoting our craft beers.
_*Sketchbook Brewing is excited to expand its Taproom team for both our Evanston and Skokie Taprooms, including the outdoor beer garden at the Skokie location.
We are seeking enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional service and promoting a welcoming atmosphere for our guests and our community.
Candidates must possess or be willing to obtain a valid BASSET certification.

* Proficiency in job-specific opening and closing procedures.
* Warmly welcome and assist guests, clearly communicating their experience expectations.
* Physical ability to lift (35-50 lbs) repeatedly and safely move full kegs (165 lbs) with the assistance of a dolly.
* Ability to learn new procedures.
* Mastery of reservation systems, POS for managing reservations and transactions.
* Familiarity with Sketchbook's member database and Community Supported Beer program.
* Utilization of Square for managing to-go orders, fulfilling online orders, and serving on-premise customers as necessary * _Ability to be on your feet, moving constantly for long shifts_ * Adherence to a comprehensive cleaning regimen to maintain sanitation standards in accordance with brewery protocols.
* Regular cleaning of tap lines, glassware, space, and other equipment to ensure the quality and freshness of beer served to customers.
* Familiarity with draft beer systems is preferred, but willingness to learn and adapt to our specific system is essential.
* Ability to troubleshoot draft system issues and perform basic maintenance tasks under the guidance of senior staff.
* Desire to expand beer knowledge through independent study, with the goal of achieving Cicerone or BJCP certification.
* Eagerness to educate oneself about Sketchbook Brewing's beer offerings and brewing processes.
* Aptitude for troubleshooting mechanical issues and systems to ensure smooth operations and timely resolution of problems that may arise during shifts.
*Understanding, Promotion, and Commitment to Sustainability Efforts:* * Awareness of and commitment to Sketchbook Brewing's sustainability initiatives, including composting, recycling, and waste reduction efforts.
* Promotion of sustainable practices among staff and customers, fostering a culture of environmental responsibility within the workplace.
