May, 2010 Food Service Clerk Primary Objective Responsible for demonstrating a love of food and passion for people that includes incredible Customer Service and performance excellence through department knowledge and technical expertise.
As a Food Service member, the Food Service Clerk promotes and delivers a shopping experience focused on providing customers the level of service to which we have publicly committed by providing efficient service through hands-on knowledge of all Food Service products.
The Food Service Clerk adheres to organizational procedures, policies and systems including food quality standards and food safety and sanitation guidelines.
The Food Service Clerk is focused on driving sales through suggestive selling, sampling and promoting sales events.

Planning Focus –  Plans SELLING product for each scheduled shift  Plans work duties appropriately during scheduled shift to accomplish all assigned tasks  Identifies department opportunities during scheduled shift and responds accordingly Functional Requirements:  Interpersonal Skills – Mental– demonstrated success in the areas of energy, initiative, judgment/decision making, social skills/verbal interaction memorization, reading, writing, math, effective communications, problem solving  Product Skills – general knowledge of all product in packaged, refrigerated, frozen and dry products department  Process Skills – demonstrated understanding of all packaged, refrigerated, frozen and dry products functions  Analytical Skills – basic understanding of math  Physical Skills – Frequent ability to lift/carry 3 to 60 lbs.
