Prepares and/or serves breakfast and hot lunches and snacks for children enrolled in Carole Robertson center for learning.
Plans monthly menus, develops shopping lists.
Organizes and cleans kitchen according to health department standards.
Maintain nutritional requirements as identified by supervisor.
Major Responsibilities and Key Tasks:
Preparing and assembling ingredients for menu items
Storing excess food at the correct temperature to avoid spoilage.

Ensuring that cooking utensils are clean before each use.
Cleaning and sterilizing food preparations areas.
Assisting other Food aides to ensure that food orders are completed in a timely manner.
Ensuring that food health and safety regulations are followed.

Required Education, Skills, and Experience:
High School diploma or GED.
Must possess a valid State Sanitation Certificate within twelve months from date of hire.
Sound knowledge of cooking methods and techniques.
Proven experience working as a Cook.
