*Outcome: *Supervise a team of sanitation staff in efforts to provide a clean, orderly, and attractive conditions for the company premises.
Communicate and enforce departmental goals and standards to the sanitation team.
*Job Expectations: *
1.
Assign and prioritize tasks to ensure that sanitation requests and duties are completed at a satisfactory to exceptional level.
2.
Responsible for training and supervising sanitation employees.
3.
Reviews the work of the sanitation team to ensure tasks were done per company policy and SQF procedures.
4.
Ensures cleaning equipment are operated and maintained as trained and instructed.
5.
Responsible for performing and documenting Pre-op Inspections as verification and monitoring of cleaning effectiveness.
6.
Responsible for conducting equipment testing activities such as micro swab testing, equipment calibration, titrations.
7.
Responsible for regular monitoring of cleaning supplies and documenting chemical inventory and non-chemical supplies.
8.
Comply with all Quality Assurance, GMPs, SQF, Safety, FDA standards and any other federal, state, and local regulations.
9.
Follow all Safety procedures and ensures subordinates comply with same procedures.
10.
Work in variable environments (cold, warm, hot, humid, and wet).
11.
Learn and perform alternate duties in different areas according to Sanitation Department needs.
Other duties and projects as assigned or directed.
12.
Track changes in employee hours to ensure proper hours are being recorded per the Chicago Fair Work Week ordinance.
*Qualifications: *
1.
Must be able to reach overhead and lift to 50 lbs.
2.
Able to bend, twist, turn, climb, push, pull, stoop, stretching and crawl.
3.
Able to work overtime and change work hours if needed.
4.
High energy level; works independently; team player; reliable.
5.
Computer literate (Office 365, Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, Trace Gains).
6.
Good written and oral communication skills.
7.
Basic math skills.
*Preferred Experience:*
1.
Experience in cleaning procedures, chemical applications, and safety procedures.
2.
Experience with cleaning tools (floor scrubber, pressure washer, foaming units).
3.
Experience with operating a forklift.
4.
Able to perform with strong physical effort, such as, but not limited, to heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, stretching, climbing stairs and ladders.
5.
Experience with GMP’s, SQF, USDA or FDA, OSHA Safety Standards, and any other federal, state, and local regulatory agencies that apply to a food manufacturing facility.
